HOW DOES IT WORK?
When exploring whether to embark on a new program, it is important for you and other
members of your school to find out everything that is involved. Here is a step-by-step guide
to hosting a successful
Step Up! Fight the Flu event.
IN THE SPRING
Obtain necessary approvals from your board and school
Identify a site for holding the clinic
Identify a date in the Fall and schedule your clinic with Flu Busters by clicking the
blue Schedule a Clinic button above, or, by calling toll-free 1(866) 782-3014
Plan how you will promote the clinic at your school and in the community; there are
links to materials in the Promotions tab above for your unlimited use
AT THE START OF SCHOOL...
...UNTIL THE DAY OF YOUR CLINIC
Promote your clinic during back-to-school activities and at other school and
community events
Encourage people to pre-register and pre-pay for their vaccinations online by using
the link above titled Schedule a Vaccination
Use the resources on the Promotions tab of this Step Up! Fight the Flu website to
print flyers and posters, customize e-mails and other materials for your clinic
Contact your Flu Busters representative, or call 1(866) 782-3014 if you have questions
or need assistance

TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR CLINIC
Check in with Flu Busters to ensure you have reached the participation minimum
Send out frequent reminders and disseminate last minute promotional materials

ON THE DAY OF YOUR CLINIC
Check the venue to ensure that at least one table, four chairs and a waste basket are
available for your clinic and that the surrounding area is clean

AFTER THE CLINIC
Flu Busters will contact you to see how your clinic went
Nurse will drop off the remaining clinic supplies and paperwork to the nearest shipping
location
